Reporting & Writing
While I am not a social media or coverage staffer, I have taken it upon myself to volunteer and contribute to the publication in other ways whenever I can. I plan to step out of my comfort zone and continue to try new things for the rest of my time on the publication. :]
Outside of The Muse, I have also spent time writing research papers on topics I'm passionate about.

Academic Papers
Animation Technology: Defining a Medium, Not a Genre
This paper was written for my AICE Media Studies class, and it is one of the works I am most proud of. In it, I detail a brief (though it may be hard to believe) history of animation's development in the Western World, and argue that animation is a versatile medium that has been greatly mislabeled and misrepresented in recent years.
No, Not Everything Needs a Reboot | A case study on Disney's Fall From Grace
This essay was a project I took on for one of my film classes. As the name suggests, I focused closely on Disney's past and what that might reveal about the company's current position. Researching for this essay was really eye-opening, even though I was already approaching the subject with a good amount of awareness under my belt.
